7. Iron It is known that Iron is a constituent of hemoglobin and it transports oxygen and indirectly assists in the following production of energy. How does it influence on bodybuilding?
The ability of your body to recover between the sets is necessary for the efficiency of the aerobic program. The more oxygen your muscles receive, the quicker they can recover in order to perform another set.
Iron is especially important for female bodybuilders. Some amount of Iron is lost in the menstrual flow every month. 6. Phosphorus This mineral is present in the body in excessive amounts and it assists in the exercise metabolism due to the production of high energy molecules such as Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) and Creatine Phosphate. Phosphorus works in close relation with Calcium, that’s why it is necessary to consume phosphorus and calcium in the proportion close to 1:1. An imbalance can cause a potential nutrition problem. It should be also mentioned that phosphorus supplementation can lower blood lactic acid levels during the workout.
5. Sodium It is known that Sodium is important for the regulation of the body fluids. The Sodium level in your body regulates the amount of water in your body so high consumption can make the body tissues swell. In spite of the fact that most diets contain a reasonable amount of Sodium you shouldn’t limit the consumption of Sodium during the contest to get ultra shredded look. If you take very low amounts of Sodium it may create the protective mechanisms in the body which may lead to sodium and water retention. You should remember that Sodium is very important for your resistance training. its function in the transmission of nerve impulse and the contraction of muscle is very beneficial for bodybuilders. Dietary sodium isn't very harmful you just need to take the proper amount.
4. Chromium The trace element Chromium is the major part of glucose tolerance factor. This mineral helps insulin bind to its receptors on tissues. It means that Chromium helps insulin work for transporting glucose, amino acids and fatty acids into cells. This mineral is more crucial for the athletes than for the non athletes. But there are many disputes among the scientists that can’t find the exact answer whether Chromium is truly anabolic. In fact Chromium assists in the glucose metabolism and lipid metabolism but it wasn’t noticed that it can increase lean body mass. But it is a hasty remark that chromium supplementation causes ripped, freakish physiques.
